The scope of design shall include relocation of six (6) bed ICU and twelve (12) medical-surgical pod beds from the 5th floor down to the 3rd floor (3 East) wing. One (1) of the ICU beds will be designed as an isolation room. 3 East will be completely gutted on the interior, inclusive of walls but not structure, to allow for the redistribution of HVAC ductwork, fire protection and fire alarm, and electrical systems as necessary to accommodate new design requirements at the West Texas VA Healthcare System. Estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000.
