Provide all labor and materials required to remove and replace two chillers and three chilled water pumps. Work is required to be phased to provide continuous chilled water production. DETAILED EXPLANATION: Remove and discard two westinghouse 140 ton centrifugal chillers and the associated concrete pads. Reclaim the R12 CFC refrigerant, which is to remain property of the Government. Remove and discard three chilled water pumps. Remove and discard chilled water expansion tank and air separator. Install and commission two new 210 ton chillers. Install and commission three new chilled water pumps. Rework three existing condenser water pumps with new impellers and high efficiency motors. Rework the associated piping inside the mechanical room (chilled water, condenser water, chemical treatment, chilled water fill). Provide new chilled water expansion tank and fill circuit. Provide refrigerant relief piping to exterior of building. Provide insulation on new chilled water piping. Rework the associated electrical circuitry and MCC relays. Modify the existing pump concrete pads for the new pumps. Provide new concrete pads for the new chillers. Rework the rooftop exhaust fan and ductwork, install refrigerant sensor and associated controls, and install new exhaust duct drop. Provide independent standalone DDC panel to control chillers, pumps, and cooling towers. Drain, flush, clean, and refill chilled water and condenser water piping. Provide new outside air louver in exterior wall... The estimated cost range of the project is $100,000 to $250,000. Time of construction is 100 days. The solicitation will be issued on or about August 18, 1999. Project RTX99026, Solicitation No. GS-07P-99-UJC-0007. The project is being procured using negotiated procedures which will result in a firm-fixed price award to the offeror who provides the best price to the Government.
