The six month lease period will enable the San Antonio Air Logistics Center to conduct a Management and Equipment Evaluation Program test to confirm the system's utility/reliability. The deicing vehicle will have the following capabilities: ability to use a combination of hot air and glycol simultaneously; a deicing nozzle equipped to provide variable amounts of glycol to match user needs; deicing fluid injected into the hot air stream at the same velocity as the hot air, to minimize the atomization of the fluid; equipped with an enclosed operator basket capable of reaching 40 feet.
