Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, local and
state permits, transportation, and supervision for the seismic upgrade
of a 110,000 sq. ft. warehouse, Building 168, Alameda Point, CA,
formerly the Naval Air Station (NAS), Alameda. Engineering and
structural steel upgrade work to be performed on roof support structure
in a 110,000 sq. ft. warehouse presently used for storage by
U.S.D.O.T., Maritime Administration. Seismic upgrade work to be
accomplished includes structural steel bracing additions and
replacements. Details of the effort include: Strengthening existing
connections and the existing braced frame columns, plus the removal of
84 existing roof truss members and replacement with new TS 4.5x4.5x3/8
structural tubes; removing existing members so as to allow reuse of
existing gusset plates for the connections at the new TS members;
welding new TS connections; strengthening of the existing connections
by welding joints; applying flat bar reinforcements to strengthen
braced framecolumns All work to be accomplished by a CA-licensed
contractor, experienced in seismic upgrade engineering and
construction. The FAR Part 36.204 magnitude of this project is "Between
$100,000 and $250,000". The performance period is120 days. This project
is issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration
program, and is unrestricted. The SIC cone is 1542. ATTENTION:

The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital
