This construction project to perform repairs to parking lots at the USDA, Forest Service, Forest Products Laboratory facility in Madison, WI was originally posted to the Commerce Business Daily on July 15, 1999. Reassessment of the Government's needs requires postponing solicitation issue date to approximately August 23, 1999. Responses will be due 30 days after issuance, approximately September 22, 1999. The prebid conference and site visit that was planned for Thursday, August 19, 1999 will be rescheduled for Thursday, September 9, 1999 at 9:00 a.m. Contract time will remain the same. All work is required to be completed within 30 days of contract award and must be scheduled to accommodate specific government needs. Award of a firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. Price range is now anticipated to be under $100,000. Selection will be based on evaluation criteria identified in the RFQ, including experience, past performance and price. This acquisition is conducted under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. This is not set aside for small business; all sources may submit a proposal. Interested parties are to submit written requests for the solicitation package and plans via email, fax or mail service. Phone calls will not be accepted. Those parties who previously requested packages under the original announcement will be sent the solicitation package when issued. It will not be necessary to make another request.
