The U.S. Army Soldier and Biological Chemical Command (SBCCOM), Soldier Systems Center (SSC), Natick, Massachusetts has a requirement for a service contract to modify (368)Type V Panels supplied as GFP, the fabrication of (92) side rails, and the assembly of these components to form (46) 16 foot C-17 Dual Row Platforms to be used for the C-17 Airlifter.The contractor is required to provide all of the services, expertise, fixtures, machinery, tools, fasteners, rivets, spare parts (nut plates, square nuts, nut tubes, end members, D rings, straps)and shipping materials (wood spacers) as required to deliver, Ex-Works, (46) Dual Row Airdrop System (DRAS) Platform Assemblies. Company must have spare parts available, in addition to the GFP provided by the Government. The Government will award a Firm-Fixed Price Service Contract based on the following evaluation criteria: (1) Best Delivery Schedule Available and Price are equal in importance and are more important than, (2) Past Performance. The desired delivery schedule is: (10) platform assemblies, 17 weeks after award, then (10) platform assemblies each week after the first delivery, with (6) delivered in week 21. This acquisition will be conducted in accordance with the Federal Acquisition (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items. This acquisition is a 100 percent small business set-aside. The Standard Industrial Code for this Acquisition is 3728. The Small Business Size Standard is 1000 employees. In accordance with FAR Part 5.102 (a) (7) all documents (RFQ, Scope of Work, amendments, drawings, etc) associated with this acquisition will be released via the SBCCOM Homepage.
