This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The purpose of this procurement is to implement activities to assist in meeting the Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Five Year Plan objectives; to communicate EMSC issues through annual meetings, newsletters, and other communication vehicles; and to participate in meetings of the EMS Partnership for Children Consortium. The contractor shall: participate in the EMS Partnership for Children meetings; disseminate EMSC information and promote the use of EMSC resources to contractor membership; update the bibliography on EMSC research; organize a planning meeting to prepare for a National Research Conference on EMSC; and organize a National Research Conference on EMSC. The Ambulatory Pediatric Association is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the required work and services. The period of performance is fifteen and one-half months.
