The Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (DOL/ETA) is soliciting proposals to select a contractor to assist the Department of Labor, Office of Job Corps, in fulfilling its planning and oversight responsibilities for the Job Corps Health Program. The contractor shall (1) review and recommend disposition of Job Corps applicants with potential health problems; (2) provide for the monitoring, technical assistance, and review of health services provided or coordinated for students, (3) provide technical training and logistical support to enhance efficient and effective delivery of Job Corps health education and services; (4) maintain data and issue reports on health services and significant incidents; (5) assist in the management, development, implementation and assessment of health standards, guidelines, policies and procedures; and (6) conduct special projects as specified by the Federal respresentative to support the Job Corps program. The period of performance for the prospective award will be 12 months from the date of contract execution plus two 1-year options at the government's discretion. This requirement is being let as a 100% small business set-aside. The SIC code is 8742 and the size standard is $5 million. Request for Proposals in hard copy form will be available, on a first-come, first-served basis until the supply is exhausted. Telephone requests will not be honored. For requests made after the supply is exhausted, the Contracting Officer may determine whether payment of a fee is warranted. The fee will not exceed the actual cost of duplication of the solicitation document. Closing date for receipt of proposals will be October 15, 1999 at 2:00 PM local time.
