Work includes but is not limited to, demolition, earthwork, site utilities and site improvements including storm water detention structure, paving, landscaping and irrigation. Work also includes concrete foundations and slab-on-grade, steel structure, steel joists and decking, roof membrane over roof insulation, sheet metal, job cast concrete tilt-up wall panels, masonry, metal stud partitions, insulation, gypsum board walls and ceilings, ceramic tile, acoustical ceilings, resilient flooring, carpeting, custom cabinets and fixtures, carpentry, glass storefront system, painting, metal doors, wood doors, metal frames, door hardware, sectional overhead doors, metal fabrications, toilet partitions and accessories, signage, lockers, loading dock equipment, fire protection and detection systems, security systems, electrical and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning, etc., in accordance with the plans and specifications. Existing concrete foundation to be removed from site. The site is located at the northwest corner of Wirt Road and Long Point in Houston. Estimated cost range $2,000,000 to $2,300,000 and construction time is 365 calendar days. Successful offeror must submit their Subcontracting Plan for Small and Minority-Owned, and Woman-Owned Business initially and thereafter with their progress payment requests. The contractor must subcontract with minority business firms in an amount aggregating not less than 10% and subcontract with woman-owned business firms in an amount not less than 7% of the total value of its subcontracts. Offeror must include documentation from bonding agent indicating offeror's capability at time offer is due. The successful contractor will be required to provide 100% Performance and 50% Payment Bonds within forty-eight (48) hours after notification of award. Offers will be received in this office, prior to, but not later than 3:30 p.m. on September 1, 1999.
