The project consists of removal and stockpiling of a 5.2 m treated timber bridge, furnishing and installation of a 8 m native log stringer bridge, furnishing and installation of riprap revetment, reconstruction of 200 m of existing roadway, removal of culverts, furnishing and installation of seven (7) culverts from 600 mm to 900 mm, and reconstruction of roadway associated with culvert installations (approximately 210 m). All of the work sites in this contract are on the Palmer Creek Road FDR 901 in the vicinity of Hope, Alaska approximately 55 air kilometers southwest of Anchorage, Alaska. The Palmer Creek road is accessible by motor vehicles from the Hope Highway (FH 14). The project begins at km 13.9 on FDR 901. The estimated start work date is late September 1999. The contract time will be 365 calendar days. Estimated price range for the project is between $25,000 and $100,000.
