Hamberg -- (512) 326-6031 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Austin Automation Center, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with NCR Government Systems Corp., Rockville MD., for continuing hardware and software maintenance of a network of Comten front-end telecommunications processors. To the best knowledge of the VA, NCR is the sole authorized provider of these services. Any vendor responding to this request shall provide evidence that they are authorized (by NCR) to provide Comten hardware, software, and related maintenance to the Federal Government. All responses from responsible sources will be considered. All responses must provide the required detailed evidence, as outlined above, to allow the VA to determine the possibility of the respondant submitting a valid proposal. The determination to compete this requirement based on responses received, is solely within the discretion of the Government. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published.
