B -- ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES AND ASSESSMENTS POC Julie Mackley (978) 318-8413, FAX (978) 318-8207 The New England District, Corps of Engineers, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Bregman and Company, 4827 Rugby Avenue, Suite 300, Bethesda, Maryland 20814, for Environmental Assessment and Management Support Services for the 94th Regional Support Command (RSC), Devens Reserve Forces Training Area (RFTA), Massachusetts. Services are to include the following to be performed over a one year period: Provide environmental coordination for the U.S. Army Reserve facilities and their associated units, perform Total Facility Assessments of RSC facilities, identifying environmental compliance issues and coordinating projects with facility managers, conduct hazardous waste inspections and material inventories to maintain regulatory compliance, providing technical support, and maintaining the hazardous waste minimization program, review and comment on draft assessment reports and suggested corrective actions, maintain training database, and coordinate with headquarters on planning and prioritization of projects. Intimate historical knowledge of the Devens Reserve Forces Training Area and its environmental operations is required in answering questions and solving legacy operational issues. Interested parties having the capability to furnish the above described services should submit their company and price information which shall be considered by the agency. All responses must contain sufficient technical and pricing information to enable evaluation of the capability of the company to meet the requirements of the agency. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation documents exists and no award will be made on the basis of any response to this advertisement. Interested parties may respond in writing to the New England District, Corps of Engineers, Attn: Purchase Branch, 696 Virginia Road, Concord, MA 01742-2751. All responses from responsible sources which are received within 15 days of the date of the publication of this synopsis will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation will be issued, no additional synopsis will be published.
