Davy, Regional Contract Specialist, 606-253-8892 The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Mid-Atlantic Regional Contracting Office intends to award a non-personal service contract to the company/individual rated most qualified to perform the services of a pharmacy technician for the United States Penitentiary, Terre Haute, Indiana. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business. Duties include but are not limited to: prescription filling, patient education, continuing quality improvement, utilization reviews, inventories and supply management. The work hours shall be Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:00 pm. There will be 4-6 sessions per day with a session being equal to one hour. Total hours shall not exceed 30 hours per week. This shall be a non-personal service contract and not a personnel appointment. Contractor shall have: completed a pharmacy technician training program, or actively participated in a pharmacy technician training program with at least six months of course credit established, or practical experience of at least two years in pharmacy technician position, or practical experience of at least two years in the health care field as a Physicians Assistant, or Registered Nurse, or a Licensed Practical Nurse. Contract period shall be include one base year, not to exceed 12 months, and four one year option periods. The anticipated date of solicitation issue is August 25, 1999, with an anticipated quotation due date of September 15, 1999.
