The US Army SBCCOM/Soldier Systems Center is publishing a general notice to inform all previously qualified manufacturers that there is a definite requirement to produce in the United States approximately 10,000 yards of Cotton Duck material, NSN 8305-00-247-0796, CCC-C-419, Type III, 12.3 ounce, 36 inch wide, color Camouflage Green 483, vat dyed in accordance with CCC-D-950, Type I, Class C (untreated). This material will be needed on upcoming procurements for 3 separate personnel parachute systems and 3 separate spare parts components for those parachutes. Each of these items will be sent out under separate solicitation and each will have the potential for additional delivery orders. This notice will allow the primary manufacturers to contact their material suppliers and initiate production of this required material. This advanced notice will prevent any increase in the production lead time for the final parachute products. The items that the cotton duck material will be used on are as follows: Personnel Parachute, T-10C, NSN 1670-01-248-9502, Part Number 11-1-564-2; Personnel Parachute, MC1-1C, NSN 1670-01-262-2359, Part Number 11-1-900-2; Personnel Parachute, MC1-1B, NSN 1670-00-598-0751, Part Number 11-1-900-1; Deployment Bag with Static Line, NSN 1670-00-590-9909, Part Number 56D6276; Static Line only, NSN 1670-00-925-7843, Part Number 55D6481-20; and Deployment Bag with 20 ft Static Line, NSN none, Part Number 11-1-4106.
