Ray, Contracting Officer, AMSAM-AC-SS-BA, (256)876-4225 It is the Government's intent to acquire on a sole-source basis from Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. (Panasonic) Thermoluminescent Dosimeter (TLD) reader upgrades. The acquisition is for the procurement of one (1) each Panasonic UD 710A TLD reader upgrade with options to purchase four (4) reader upgrades over a four-year period. The U.S. Army Radiation Standards and Dosimetry Laboratory (RSDL), Dosimetry Branch, currently possesses accreditation by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to provide dosimetry service using the Panasonic UD 802-AS TLD badges which are read by the Panasonic UD-710A TLD readers. Therefore, the current whole body TLD system uses dosimeters and readers manufactured by Panasonic. As is typical with most dosimeter systems, the Panasonic dosimeters can only be read by Panasonic readers. FOB Destination.
