The server software used to accomplish this blocking and filtering is henceforth referred to as the "the Product". The PTO is interested in opening discussions to determine interest in and requirements for such server software. The following requirements are required: (1) Product must be server based and must not require any client software other than an ordinary http web browser. (2) Product must run on the HP-UX 10.20 operating system. (3) Product must support Netscape LDAP authentication. Product must include features for user level grant/deny access to web sites based upon Netscape LDAP authentication. (4) Reporting capabilities by user. The reports will be savable as ASCII text files. (5) Product will do URL blocking to the file level. (6) The Product's list of blocked URLs will be viewable and editable by PTO. and (7) The product will resolve host names in the URL list to specific IP addresses, and block access to those addresses.
