Agent, (770) 488-2639 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
(CDC) intends to negotiate with and award a purchase order to Dr. James
V. Bruckner of the University of Georgia, Department of Pharmaceutical
and Biomedical Science. The award will be made on a sole source basis
for professional services for the vendor to assess hepatic and
extra-hepatic levels of parent compounds and selected bio-active
metabolites in blood and in other tissues over time, following oral
dosing of trichloroethylene (TCE). The vendor will be required to
provide a finalized written report of findings from this investigation.
This requirement falls under SIC code 8733. Other than full and open
competition is authorized pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1),FAR 6.302-1.
The minimum qualifications of vendor include, but are not limited to
the following: The vendor shall possess knowledge of and have previous
research experience in conducting experiments that assess the
presystemic elimination of chemicals; have training in the areas of
pharmacology and toxicology; and knowledge of the mandates and programs
of research established for the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease
Registry (ATSDR). Qualified vendors have 15 days from date of this
synopsis to submit a capability statement delineating their ability to
provide these services. Such qualifications will be used solely for
the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement
on a full and open competition basis. Documents may be mailed to the
