D -- SOFTWARE LICENSE RENEWAL/UPGRADES SOL 1999C00294 DUE 082799 POC Shirli Wall, Purchasing Agent, (770) 488-2607 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to solicit a quotation for existing commercial off-the-shelf software on a sole source basis from Fluent, Inc, 10 Cavendish Court, Centerra Resource Park, Lebanon, NH 03766 for a Fluent/FIDAP annual license renewal with pre/post processing; and two interchangeable processes for software in use currently at the CDC/NIOSH/OAMS facility. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. License fee includes updates, program enhancements, new releases, program and technical support, to be effective from 09/23/1999 through 09/22/2000. FIDAP software is a computational fluid dynamic (CFD) program used to analyze particle trajectories into filter samples. The software will be used in a Sun Enterprise 6000 System. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be utilized and an oral quotation will be solicited on or about 08/27/99. Other than Full and Open Competition is authorized pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 2253 (C)(1).
