Submission No. 365685 Solicitation No. 69D-387-99 is hereby amended to
include the following in accordance with Section 52.212-2 and
Paragraph IV. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS. Contractor shall be responsible
to coordinate the delivery of the batteries to the loading dock with
the COTR as noted in the above sections of the solicitation. Unless
otherwise specified, a representative of the contractor shall be
present at the time of delivery. The contractor shall be responsible to
insure that the batteries are secured on skids prior to unloading the
delivery truck at the building 215 dock. The VA will unload new
batteries (on the secured skids provided by the contractor) from the
delivery truck using a VA fork lift. The VA will operate the fork lift.
The skids will be moved via VA fork lift within approximately 175 feet
of the Battery Room Door. At that point, the skids will be transferred
to a hand truck by the VA using the VA fork lift. Immediately
following, the contractor shall move these hand trucks containing the
batteries approximately 175 feet through the battery room door which is
2 feet 10 inches wide. Skids shall be sized to allow passage through
the door. The contractor shall be responsible to notify the
delivery/shipping company in advance of the above to avoid any
unnecessary delays at the time of delivery. No other changes are made
