SOL WASC9-1552 DUE 090299 POC Randall Brown (206) 526-6226/FAX (206) 526-6025 Sources sought to provide a two-man submersible crew and vessel in southern California for eleven (11) dive days for the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). All work under this contract to be completed by 10/31/99. Submersible will be mounted with video cameras to collect/record quantitative data on white abalone at depths of approximately 26-65 meters in southern California. Submersible must possess flat viewports through which the observers have an undistorted view of the seafloor. Submersible must be able to remain in contact with the sea floor and among rugged habitats such as thick kelp. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.
