The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has a requirement for (2) two
255 ton cooling towers. They should be Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC)
factory-assembled or equal with counterflow, blow-through design
cooling towers or of equal quality. The towers and all steel components
shall be constructed with G-235 galvanized steel and have Baltibond
corrosion protection, 40-hp (1800 RPM, 3 phase, 60 hertz, 230/460 Volt,
TEFC type) inverter duty fan motors with Variable Frequency Drive
auxiliary drive system equipment and electric water level. There will
be a mandatory site visit held for all potential bidders on August 26,
1999. All interested parties should fax a written request for the
