This is a notice that White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) intends to procure on an Other Than Full and Open Competition basis with Herley Industries, 10 Industry Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603 the following item: Transponders, Non-Coherent C-Band, Model MD38OC-1 -- 33 EA. Note 22 applies. Vendors need to have Government qualified designs validated by Military Standard testing procedures for shock, vibration and Electro-Magnetic Interference levels. Manufacturers will be required to conduct First Article Tests to qualify their design. This requirement shall be processed under the Simplified Acqusition Procedures (FAR Part 13). All vendors who have bona fide interest must present clear and convincing evidence of their capability to provide this requiement in writing within 15 days after the date of publication of this synopsis. No written solicitation will be send as the item is called out in this CBD Notice, only the Transponder Specification Document (WSMR-6333B-89, 2 Apr 91) will be made available and faxed to vendors requesting a copy of it. Oral communications are not acceptable. All vendors shall provide their Cage Code, Duns and Bradstreet (DUNS), Tax Identification Number (TIN) and shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database.
