NONe, NONE. (correction) The National Institute of Environmental Health
Sciences intends to negotiate with Biotechnical Services, Inc. to
provide document preparation support services for the National
Toxicology Program. The work is specifically to include preparation of
Board Draft Technical Reports on seven (7) chemicals (Sodium Nitrite,
Naphthalene, Indium Phosphide, Methacrylonitrile, Chloral Hydrate,
p-Nitrotoluene, and p,p'-Dichlorodiphenyl Sulfone). In addition, the
contractor shall complete revisions and produce final master copies of
the remaining 13 Technical Reports which have been peer reviewed but
which are not yet finalized. The Contractor shall also complete the
five (5) Toxicity reports which have been submitted for external review
and prepare peer review drafts for the Toxicity reports on seven
chemicals (Methapyrilene Hydrochloride, Allyl Acetate,
1,1,2,2-Tetrachloroethane, Methylimidazole, Dicyclo- and
Diisopropylcarbodiimide, Butanyl Oxime, and tert-Gutylcatechol). Any
Toxicity Reports which receive peer review and for which revisions from
the Study Scientist are provided by May 15, 2000 are also to be
completed under this contract extension. The contract period shall be
extended to June 30, 2000 as a result of this effort. The Government
anticipates an approximate level-of-effort of 1,680 hours per month for
this extension. Authority: 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1), as set forth in FAR
6.302-1 and HHSAR 306-302-1. Inherent duplication of cost to the
Government and unacceptable delays in completing the project make
competition unfeasible for the additional reporting requirements. See
