R -- ASSIST IN MEETING EMSC 5-YEAR PLAN OBJECTIVES SOL HRSA-99-MCHB-63A DUE 082999 POC Aileen Broider-301-443-5231 The Health Resources and Services Administration intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with The American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), 1111 19th Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20036. This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The purpose of this procurement is to implement activities to assist in meeting the Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) 5-Year Plan objectives. The contractor shall: participate in the EMSC Partnership for Children meetings and prepare a report; coordinate a meeting with the American Academy of Pediatrics; develop a Children with Special Health Care Needs implementation packet and distribute to emergency departments across the nation; and develop pediatric information kits for emergency departments. The American College of Emergency Physicians is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the required work and services. The period of performance is one year.
