MEMBERSHIP IN THE TEST & DIAGNOSTICS CONSORTIUM The Test & Diagnostics Consortium (TDC) is now accepting membership applications. Membership open to companies which use, supply, or support T&D equipment, as well as academia. The opportunity to become a Charter Member will be available for the next two months. Industries and companies which are significant users of test and diagnostics equipment have formed the TDC to bring together suppliers and users in a mutually beneficial forum. During the initial planning process, representatives from the commercial airlines, trucking, railroad, satellite, and various government organizations have laid the foundation for this organization. Benefits to user organizations include: reduced costs; improved capabilities; increased knowledge; and anti-trust protection. Benefits to suppliers include: improved margins; reduced time to market; increased knowledge; and anti-trust protection. Benefits to academia include: information on current trends; exposure to wide range of organizations; and opportunities for strategic partnerships. After membership applications are received, the first official TDC meeting will be convened. It is expected that the meeting will occur in the September/October timeframe and will involve the process of electing the Board of Directors and Officers; and discussion of initiatives and operating procedures.
