The Defense National Stockpile Center has a requirement for bundling, banding, weighing, and relocating approximately 80,065 metric tons (MT) of Lead and approximately 3,972 metric tons (MT) of Zinc at Mechanicsburg, PA, Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP) facility. The Lead and Zinc are in the form of pigs or slabs weighing between 50 and 120 pounds each and are stored in block stack form. All materials are stored outside and require outside work and shall be within the confines of Areas 317, 413, 414,and 606. Building 13 is approximately miles from storage areas 317, 413 and 414 and 1.25 miles from area 606. A Government Representative shall witness all weighing and will identify the sequence in which material will be banded. The minimum quantity for material handling is 200 metric tons per working day, which will produce an estimated performance period of 421 workdays. This is a 100% Small Business Set-aside.
