The U.S. Department of State (DoS), the Office of Acquisition, is
soliciting on a sole source basis to negotiate with Motorola, Inc. to
develop course curriculum and training materials for the following
Motorola equipment ASTRO, Quantar Base Station, MRTI 2000, ASTRO
Spectra Mobile/Consollette, w/RCH300/XTS 3000, MCS2000, HT1250 and
Iridium Hand held units developed for the Department's Motorola
wireless system. Operational and maintenance personnel will be trained
in the operational programming and maintenance of deployed wireless
systems overseas. The training will duplicate a mid-size post-wireless
system scenario. Training will be conducted in the metropolitan area
on a continuous basis and one-time training of regional technical
personnel located at Department of State Regional Centers in Ft.
Lauderdale, Florida; Frankfurt, Germany; Pretoria, South Africa; and
Bangkok, Thailand. The contract will be a firm price with cost
reimbursement for travel. There is no solicitation available. See Note
