NASA GSFC/WFF plans to issue a Request for Offers for Restoration of Water Systems -- Phase IV (A) at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, Virginia 23337. The scope of work for this project shall include, but is not limited to: Extensions of the water distribution system for the water supply and fire protection at the J-Area Visitor Center. This area is supported by an independent system and is not tied into the facilities water distribution system. The J-Area supports visitor center functions which are open to the general public. The work shall be complete. It includes furnishing, as applicable, or may be required, all contractor's plant, equipment, safety devices, labor, tools, materials, supplies, and services, and performing all operations necessary for or incidental to a complete project in conformity with the drawings and as set forth in the various sections of the specifications. This procurement is being conducted under NASA MidRange Procurement Procedures. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00 and the effort shall be completed within 180 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for the procurement is 1623. The corresponding size standard is $17,000,000.00. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about September 2, 1999 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about October 4, 1999. The firm date for receipt of offers will be stated in the RFO. Bid packages containing specifications and drawings will be available at a nonrefundable cost of $50.00. Payment must be made in the form of a certified check, company check, or money order, made payable to "NASA", which must accompany the request. No personal checks or cash will be accepted.
