The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Marconi Aerospace Defense Systems Inc. for the acquisition of two (2) AN/ALM-288 Countermeasures Test Sets P/N 188100-7001. Required delivery date is 30 December 1999. The Countermeasure Test Sets provide the means to test the AN/ALE-47 Chaff and Flare Dispenser firing circuitry to ensure proper operation and support upcoming CV-22 flight tests at Edwards Airforce base. The Government does not hold any proprietary rights to this item. NAWCADLKE intends to procure this item under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open their requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
