E-MAIL: Konrad B. Mader, Konrad.B.Mader@grc.nasa.gov. NASA/GRC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a TSI Inc. model Pivcam 12-8, part number 630048 or equal. This is a particle imaging velocimetry video camera which must meet the following minimum specifications: 1. Sensor shall be 1300 x 1000 pixels 2. Pixel size shall be 6 x 6 microns or greater 3. Sensor shall be Peltier cooled and provide 12 bit digital output 4. Camera shall operate at a minimum frame rate of 8 Hz 5. Camera shall be capable of operating in "frame straddling" mode down to an inter-frame time of 1 microsecond 6. Camera shall be supplied with a PCI bus framegrabber card and all interface cables to connect the camera system to the timing electronics and host computer (elctronics and computer not part of this procurement) 7. Camera shall be equipped with a Nikon 60 mm f/2.8 f-mount lens 8. Camera system must be compatible with TSI Insight version 2.X software and TSI synchronizer timing module Award will be made based on best value to the government. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR PART 12. The SIC Code and Size Standard are 3826 and 500 employees, respectively, The DPAS Rating for this procurment is DO C-9. The anticipated release date of RFQ 3-130062 is on or about 8-16-99 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about 8-31-99.
