This is a combined synopsis/request for quotation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only request for quotation; proposals are being requested and a written request for quotation/solicitation will not be issued. The request for quotation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. This is an unrestricted procurement for repair of the following item: CLIN (1): NSN: 6615-01-158-5987, P/N: 70410-22760-051, Pitch Trim Assembly, QTY: 8 each. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 3728. The Coast Guard does not own, nor can it provide the drawings or specifications for this item. The Coast Guard intends to negotiate with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, as the only known NAVICP-PICA certified source of supply. Offerors, other than the OEM, must possess NAVICP-PICA certification as a certified source of supply and must provide proof of such prior to contract award.
