Furnish all material, labor, and equipment to install Groundwater Interceptor Trench System, extraction wells, precast concrete valve vaults, pumps and piping with related power and instrumentation systems required to operate and transport extracted groundwater to existing equalization and effluent pond(s). Excavate contaminated soil and connect new piping to existing piping. Transport contaminated soil at the Contractor's direction to the chemical plant (approximately 4-miles) via dedicated Quarry Haul Road. Haul uncontaminated waste to a licensed off-site facility. Provide dust and emission control, including exhaust and non-radioactive air dust and emission control, including exhaust and non-radioactive air particles. Clean and decontaminate equipment at the trench site. Excavation to top of bedrock of the 550 foot long groundwater interceptor trench shall be accomplished using the continuous trenching method. The trench side wall shall be supported while installing the perforated, 4-inch diameter HDPE flexible side walls pipe along the base of the trench, and backfilling with granular fill material all performed using the ``single pass'' installed method. The interceptor piping shall be covered by a polyester ``sock'' envelope. After backfilling is complete the area shall be smoothed and seeded.
