The Social Security Administration (SSA), intends to negotiate with Pitney Bowes Corporation on a sole-source basis for a Unified Copier System for the disabled. By unified, we mean a copier configured as one unit without retrofitting for use by the hearing or visually impaired, blind, or wheelchair bound persons with the basic copier accessories. Interested parties must respond to this notice within 10 calendar days from the date of this publication. When responding to this solicitation respondents should refer to SSA-RFQ-99-3974. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all quotations received within 20 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government.
