more information. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division,
Marine Operations Branch, has a requirement for a total of 76,270
pounds of virgin Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) plastic,
extruded into 1,100 sheets, under the following specifications. CLIN
0001: Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) plastic. Quantity of 300
sheets; Sized to 0.156" x 101" x 228"; and weight 140.82 lbs. each.
CLIN 0002: Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) plastic. Quantity of
600 sheets; Sized to 0.156" x 77" x 101"; and weight 47.56 lbs. each.
CLIN 0003: Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) plastic. Quantity of
200 sheets; Sized to 0.09" x 77" x 101"; and weight 27.44 lbs. each.
The finish shall be haircell on one side and smooth on the other. The
color shall be 100% olive drab through the thickness of the sheet. The
use of this material shall be to thermal vacuum form plastic into
shapes to construct plastic armored vehicular targets (tank shells).
This acquisition is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 13,
Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This acquisition is small business
set-aside preferred, however, all responsible sources may submit a
proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The award will be a
firm-fixed priced purchase order. Offerors shall propose their best
delivery schedule, no later than 15 November 1999. Items shall be
shipped FOB destination and inspection and acceptance at destination,
to Marine Operations and Targets, Solomons, MD 20688. Parties wishing
to receive a copy of the Request For Quote (RFQ) SHALL submit your
request via e-mail to johnstonkf@navair.navy.mil, or via facsimile, to
(301) 342-4952. When issued, the RFQ shall be forwarded to each
