D -- NAUTICAL DATABASE MAINTENANCE ENVIRONMENT SOL NMA30199R0537 DUE 083099 POC Dan Hinchberger, Contracting Officer, (301)227-1944 The National Imagery and Mapping Agency intends to award a sole source contract to Laser Scan, Inc of Sterling, Virginia, for development of a system to enhance the Nautical Database Maintenance Environment (NDME). In support of this effort, Laser Scan will develop software and workstation and web applications to expand the capability and capacity of the NDME. The NDME resides in the NIMA Production Cell (NPC) and is comprised of a Gothic Object Oriented Database which is accessed through a Lamps2 application- both are proprietary to Laser Scan. Laser Scan will additionally develop LAMPS2/SOCET Set integration software and provide one year of on-site technical support. In support of these services, Laser Scan will provide ten Gothic Object Oriented Databases licenses with the Lamps2 Compilation w/Generalizer option and the Digital Nautical Chart (DNC) option.
