R -- REDUCTION OF HEALTH STATUS DISPARITIES OF RURAL AFRICAN AMERICANS IN SOUTH CAROLINA SOL 99-OA-A74442 POC Sarah Bueter (301) 443-5352; Fax (301) 443-5462 The Health Resources and Services Administration intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with the South Carolina State Office of Rural Health, 220 Stoneridge Drive, Suite 402, Columbia, SC 29210. This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures of Part 13 of the Federal Acquisitions Regulations. The purpose of this purchase order is to develop a research agenda identifying topics for future research efforts to eliminate health status disparities of African Americans and other minority populations in rural areas. The contractor shall prepare a report with listing of rural health issues in South Carolina requiring further research. The contractor must also conduct 4 to 6 meetings in South Carolina and work with an academic team to achieve consensus on rural health issues that impact access to care and reduction of health status disparities of rural African Americans in the state. The period of performance for this project is fifty-two (52) weeks. The South Carolina State Office of Rural Health is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing required work and services.
