The National Cemetery Administration is requesting proposals for select cemetery operations and grounds maintenance services at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 27034 S. Diagonal Road, Elwood, IL 60421, covering the period October 1, 1999, through September 30, 2000 (base period), with four (4) 1-year options to extend the term of the contract through September 30, 2004. Work covered by the contract includes: Grounds maintenance operations (mowing, trimming, grave maintenance, irrigation management, fertilization/soil amendments, aeration, thatching, integrated pest management, tree/shrub maintenance and curb edging); Headstone/monument cleaning; facility maintenance (floral pick-up; debris maintenance; and snow/ice removal). This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code 0782 and a size standard of $5 million are applicable. All responsible small business sources may submit an offer. Requests for a hard copy of the solicitation must be in writing to Mrs. Wanza E. Lewis and accompanied by a check or money order in the amount of Five Dollars ($5.00) (non-refundable), payable to "U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs." No telephone requests will be accepted.
