Bechtel Nevada Corporation is seeking sources and information for the design of a solid set irrigation system for 13 research plots located on the Ft. Irwin National Training Center near Barstow, California. The irrigation system is to be an aboveground system providing uniform coverage for research plot size areas (approximately 50 feet x 50 feet). The system is to be portable, that is, can be easily disassembled and moved from one location to another. Sprinkler heads should be so designed to provide application rates of approximately two gallons per minute and discharge a water droplet size similar to that of a typical rainfall event. This requirement also includes the specification for all parts (parts list) required for installation of the irrigation system and delivery of those parts to Ft. Irwin, California. A qualified representative will need to be on site prior to completing the design of the system and will provide technical oversight during the installation of the system.
