This notice constitutes an amendment (Amendment #2) to the previously released combined synopsis/solicitation SSA-RFQ-99- 3951 for retrofit and replacement of lighting fixtures at the Social Security Administration's Wilkes-Barre PA facility. No other notice will be issued. The purpose of this notice is to amend certain sections of the solicitation as well as to extend the closing date for receipt of offers. RESPONSE TIME: Quotations in response to the RFQ shall be submitted by 2:00 p.m. local prevailing time, September 3, 1999 rather than 3:00 p.m. August 31, 1999 as previously established. Also, as a result of numerous inquiries regarding the requirement for a master electrician to be on site to supervise the work under the project, the Government has reconsidered its position on this and is revising the solicitation to eliminate this requirement. Therefore, the following area of the original solicitation is hereby amended as follows: SUPERVISION OF WORK: Work shall be directly supervised by a qualified foremen/supervisor who has direct experience in supervising projects of very similar scope.
