The Department of Veterans Affairs Connecticut Healthcare System is seeking to procure 3 custom internally vented fume hoods, 48" wide with base. Ductless portable fume hoods with shell material, polypropylene: front sash, polycarbonate. No metal parts pre-filter. Deep base to contain accidental spillage. Integral baffle for precise airflow, hinged for easy access to heavy duty pre-filter. Include 30W fluoroscent light in vapor-proof housing. Filters must include bonded carbon filter impregnated to neutralize acids. Need to customize the dimensions for the hoods and need different kinds of filters for acids and organic solvents. Must include totally enclosed drip proof motor post-filter for protection against caustic fumes. Controller must include timer for operations, time and date and must be Y2K compliant.
