J -- MAINTENANCE/REPAIR OF MITSUBISHI LINEAR ACCELERATOR AT THE BROOKLYN VAMC SOL RFP 10N3-240-99 DUE 092899 POC Jo Ann Petrillo, Contract Specialist, (718)584-9000 ext 4325 The Veterans Administration intends to award a term contract for the maintenance and repair of the Mitsubishi EXL-15DP-SN -- 4511 Linear Accelerator located at the Brooklyn VA Medical Center at 800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, NY 11209. The contract shall be for an initial term from October 1, 1999 thru September 30, 2000 with a Government option to extend the term of the contract for (4) additional one year periods. The contract shall be an "extended coverage contract" including optional chiller coverage. Contractor shall have access to original equipment manufacturers (OEM) parts, manuals, and schematics. Repair services shall be requested by the VA as needed and include diagnosis and corrction of equipment malfunctions on a routine basis. Repairs shall be performed by a manufacturer trained technician. Preventive maintenance (PM) shall be performed quarterly and procedures shall follow manufacturers specifications. PM shall include, as a minimum, electrical safety testing, lubrication, adjustment, calibration and replacement of faulty parts at no additional charge. This procurement is open to both small and large business participation.
