Refurbish approximately 52 pieces of Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE)
by replacing consumables, cannibalizing, and requisitioning
government-provided parts. Contractor is responsible for: evaluation of
all assets to determine status; cannibalization; and preparation of all
requisitions for replacement parts needed and submission of
requisitions to government; handling and temporary storage of hazardous
materials and waste (government to dispose of hazardous materials and
waste); providing equipment inventory and maintenance status updates as
requested; performing operational checks in accordance with Technical
Orders (TOs); prepping all equipment for shipment in accordance with
TOs; corrosion control of equipment. Government will provide: TOs; one
load bank tester; replacement parts; consumables to include oils,
grease and fuels; disposal of hazardous materials and waste; delivery
of equipment to government-furnished maintenance facility (at
Seymour-Johnson AFB in NC) and pick-up upon completion of refurbishing;
and corrosion control treatment material. Equipment for Refurbishing
is: Gen Set -60, NSN 6115-00-420-8486 (35 ea); MC-11Air Compressor, NSN
4310-00-541-7060, 4310-00-245-9500 (1 ea); MC-1A Air Compressor, NSN
4310-01-191-8212,4310-01-060-0642 (8 total); MC-7 Air Compressor, NSN
4310-00-595-3866 (3 ea); and Diesel Gen -86, NSN 6115-01-155-2340 (4
ea). Project manager must have minimum 18 years' experience on USAF AGE
(powered and non-powered) systems; technicians must have minimum 10
years' experience on USAF AGE (powered and non-powered) systems with
minimum 5 years of 7-level USAF turbine engine (-60) experience. Work
to be completed within 6 months after award of contract. All work will
be performed in government-provided facilities at Seymour-Johnson AFB,
NC. Award to be made based on lowest price technically acceptable. This
project will be set aside for small business. SIC code is 3728. The RFP
package, along with Performance Work Statement, Quality Assurance
Surveillance Plan, Wage Determination, and Questionnaires is available
on the EPS site for downloading by interested contractors. A pre-bid
site visit to Seymour-Johnson AFB, NC, will be conducted Thurs, 26 Aug
