Contractor shall completely prepare site and furnish all labor, tools, materials and equipment necessary and perform all work to replace deteriorated bituminous pavement and concrete curb at parking areas, driveways and loading docks at the VA Medical Center, Bath, New York. Work to include removal of existing pavement and base material and removal of existing concrete curbs. New work includes placement of Item 4, bituminous asphalt binder course, bituminous asphalt wear course and new concrete curbs. Project involves removal of approximately 35,531 square yards of bituminous asphalt pavement, approximately 5,000 linear feet of concrete curb and approximately 990 cubic yards of base material. Approximately 35,531 square yards of bituminous asphalt pavement, approximately 5,000 linear feet of concrete curb and approximately 990 cubic yards of Item 4 will be installed. New pavement will be 2-1/2" bituminous asphalt binder course and 1-1/2" bituminous asphalt wear course. New concrete curb will be 6" x 18". Approximately 8" of item 4 will be placed in all areas. Contemplated issue date is 8/26/99 with an approximate opening date of 9/23/99. The cost range is $500,000 to 1,000,000.
