a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a
written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, No.
F02604-99-QE004 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). Funds for
this acquisition are currently not available, but are expected to be
before the beginning of the next fiscal year. This solicitation
document, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect
through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. This acquisition is
reserved for small business; SIC:3799 ; Size Std.:500 employees.
General characteristics of each golf car listed below include the
following: 72 Volt shunt GE motor, front wheel drive direct-coupled
Dana Spicer differential, GE solid state controller with: key switch
input, high pedal disable, under voltage detector, regenerative
braking, zerospeed detect, and thermal sensor protection; 6 ply street
rated tires, six 12 volt deep cycle batteries, 72 volt DC charger
using 110 AC house current, 4 wheel hydraulic brakes, parking brake,
independent front suspension, automotive style rack and pinion with
permanently sealed tie rod ends, aluminum welded space frame using
custom aluminum alloy extrusions, front bucket seats, automotive style
3-point safety belts, Quartz halogen headlights, front and rear turn
signals, high mount rear brake, tinted front safety glass with wipers,
composite and thermo-plastic body panels, horn, rubber floor mats,
safety handles, rear and side reflectors, rearview and dual outside
exterior mirrors and dual controllable speed( turf 12-15mph, street
18-25mph). Contract Line Item (CLIN) 0001: GEM 825-2 passenger. Options
include weather enclosure and dust cover. QTY: 1 ea. (CLIN) 0002: GEM
825 Long Box _ 2 passenger. Cargo box dimensions are 70 X 48 in. QTY:
1 ea. (CLIN) 0003: GEM 825- 6 passenger. Options include: strobe light,
weather enclosure, flip/flop rear seat(5th and 6th seat), and dust
cover. QTY: 1 ea. (CLIN) 0004: GEM 825 Short Box- 2 passenger. Cargo
box dimensions are 48 X 39 in. Options include: weather enclosure; cart
color shall be green. QTY: 1 ea. (CLIN) 0005: GEM 825- 4 passenger.
Options include swivel pack and bumper.Bumper should be 1/8" steel
tube, approx. 1.5" in diameter and 56" in length. QTY: 2 ea. FOB point
shall be destination. Warranty required is 3 years on all parts and
labor. Contractor is required to provide a qualified local service
location for all warranty work. All line items shall be delivered
within 90 calendar days ARO. Award will be based solely upon price and
price related factors. Any equal offered must be clearly identified by
brand name, make and model number. Offerors of any equal must also
include descriptive literature and any proposed modifications making an
_or equal_ item conform to specifications. The provisions at FAR
52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items applies to this
solicitation. Offerors shall include with the submission of their
offer a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror
