The Coastal Systems Station, Dahlgren Division, NSWC, Panama City, FL 32407-7001 intends to issue a contract on a sole-source basis to Detroit Diesel Corporation/MTU, 13400 Outer Drive, West, Detroit, MI 48239-4001. The contract will be for training of maintenance personnel on the Detroit Diesel/MTU engines installed on the MK V Special Operations Craft. These engines are commercial items, and the training courses will be identical to those provided by Detroit Diesel/MTU to their commercial customers. All normal training materials provided as part of the commercial training courses will be provided. A five year firm-fixed price contract is anticipated.
