The US Marine Corps (USMC), Program Manager, Information Systems has a requirement for technical analysis services to support the development, production, and fielding of the Marine Corps' Asset Tracking for Logistics and Supply System (ATLASS). The scope of the requirement includes incorporation of Automatic Identification Technology (AIT) into the existing Marine Corps logistics systems, as well as assessing potential improvements to existing procedures and processes. This work effort will require the vendor to assess critical processes and functions that can be integrated into the ATLASS system; incorporation of current maintenance and supply processes; and identification of improvements that could result in cost or time savings. The end product of this effort will be documentation of programming requirements that will serve as the basis for inclusion of AIT into the ATLASS system. This effort will require the vendor to visit Marine Corps installations and to provide an expert team with skills in AIT implementation, requirements documentation, and business process assessment.
