(FPI), Federal Bureau of Prisons, Department of Justice, is seeking business partnerships to provide services to the commercial market. FPI currently provides a wide range of data conversion related services in support of Information Technology projects with private sector firms. FPI can provide reasonably priced, high quality services to help firms meet their total project requirements. FPI data services capabilities include full text capture through OCR or re-keying, complete OCR clean up, SGML and HTML tagging for publishing, PDF for electronic distribution, complete vectorization of maps and engineering drawings, etc. FPI can also provide services in the areas of sorting, packaging, distribution, help desk, repair work, etc. FPI is concentrating its efforts on performing commercial services work that is currently being performed outside the United States, so potential partners must be willing to repatriate work to the United States.
