THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation number is XA0147 and the solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. This contract will be awarded as a result of a Simplified Acquisition (Small Business Set-aside). The Contractor shall provide Guaranteed Rental of four (4) 69KW, 480V, 3-Phase, Diesel-powered Generator for three months. Rental will be from November 1, 1999 through January 31,2000. The Contractor shall be responsible for delivery and removal from U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, 86 T.W. Alexander Drive, Research Triangle Park, NC 27711.
