The work includes the construction of a constant pressure (Type III) 2400 GPM pumping facility to replace an existing fueling system. The project includes: two (2)1590 CM (10,000 BBL) aboveground jet fuel storage tanks and associated concrete walls and basins, a pump-house structure and control room, a two (2) position truck loading facility, and miscellaneous features including underground fuel lines, storm lines, sanitary sewer force mains, oil water separator and new concrete pavements. The base bid will also include the abandonment of (30) 189,270 liter (50,000 gallon) underground fuel tanks and associated underground fuel lines. Option No. 1 will include the demolition of the existing aboveground buildings, structures, and equipment associated with the existing fueling system. Option No. 2 will include the proper removal of the existing (30) 189,270 liter (50,000 gallon) underground fuel tanks and the associated testing and disposal of all materials and products including the disposal of contaminated soil encountered during the removal of the underground tanks. This procurement will be accomplished through competitive negotiations. A Request for Proposals will be issued and an award will be based on the responsive, responsible firm submitting the lowest proposal. The approximate Solicitation Release Date is August 26, 1999.
