41 -- PROVIDE AND INSTALL, AS REQUIRED, SELF-CONTAINED REFRIGERATION CASES FOR USE WITH FRESH MEATS, PRE-PKG FOODS, & DELI MEATS. This synopsis amends the previously submitted synopsis (submission number 359725). The amendment incorporates past performance as an evaluation factor. The changes to this amendment are not considered significant enough to warrant delaying the issuance of the solicitation beyond the required notification of the original synopsis. The synopsis is restated as follows: Furnish, deliver, set-up, and install refrigerated, self-contained, low profile cases, 8 and 12 foot lengths. The contractor shall be required to deliver items under the contract to any location within the Continental United States. Delivery locations will be specified in all Delivery Orders issued. All unit prices offered shall include transportation charges for delivery to any CONUS location. The contractor shall be required to deliver the cases to the required delivery location no later than twelve weeks after issuance of the order or as otherwise offered and negotiated. Approximate outside dimensions of the case are 12 and 8 foot lengths X 6 foot wide X 30 inches high. Temperatures throughout the refrigerated cases shall be capable of adhering to the FDA requirements for storing fresh meats (30 -- 32 degrees Fahrenheit) as well as pre-packaged and deli foods (38 -- 40 degrees Fahrenheit). Case to be provided with minimum of one top display shelf area that is approximately 14 inches wide. Case to have high plexiglass or equivalent perimeter for air flow efficiency. Contractor may be required, as determined by individual delivery orders, to perform site surveys, set-up, and installation of cases at the individual delivery locations. Award is to be made on a fixed price basis for an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity type contract for a base period of approximately one year with two additional option years. Evaluation of the solicitation will be made via trade-off approach by considering such things as Price, Technical Capability (including Delivery Terms), and Past Performance. The Government plans to utilize the IMPAC Purchase Card (VISA) as the primary method of payment under this contract. Solicitation will be issued on or about August 20, 1999, with a closing date on or about September 3, 1999. Solicitation is to issued on an unrestricted basis.
